Quick Snap privacy policy

This policy describes Quick Snap for macOS, developed by Veniamin Mylnikov. The app works locally, does not require an account, and does not include advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not send app usage or window data to the developer.

Quick Snap saves layouts and zones in Application Support and preferences in macOS UserDefaults on your Mac. These include zone names and positions, display assignments, keyboard shortcuts, app exclusions, and preferences. The app does not provide a cloud sync service.

With your permission, Quick Snap uses macOS Accessibility APIs to identify, move, and resize windows. Input Monitoring is used to recognize dragging, modifier keys, and cancellation commands. These events are processed locally for window management, not stored as a typing history or sent to the developer. You can revoke either permission in macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security; the corresponding features will stop working.

Import and export access only files you select using system dialogs. Exported backups contain your layouts and settings; you choose where to save or share them. The app can write local macOS diagnostic messages about window placement, including zone names and window coordinates. It does not upload those logs automatically.

If you email the developer, your email address, message, and any attachments are processed by the email service to handle your request. Only send information needed to explain the problem. You can use [email protected] to request deletion of your support correspondence.

You can edit or delete layouts and zones in the app, change settings, and export a copy. To remove all local app data, remove Quick Snap, its Application Support folder, and macOS preferences; contact support if you need help. Uninstalling alone may leave local preferences or backups. Exported files stay wherever you saved them until you delete them.

Apple checks the notarized download, and any diagnostics you choose to share with Apple are governed by Apple’s privacy policy. Visiting this website and downloading the app involves its hosting provider, Cloudflare; this website also uses Google Fonts. App data is not sent to those services by Quick Snap.
