Summary

  • Core VeniCar data is stored locally on your device.
  • The app does not use its own backend server, Firebase, analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs.
  • User data is not sold and is not used for advertising.
  • Google Drive / Google Sheets sync is optional and starts only after you choose to connect a Google Account.
  • If Google Sync is enabled, the backup is stored in your Google Drive, not on a developer-operated server.

Data the app may store

You enter and control the data in VeniCar. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

  • vehicle information: name, make, model, year, plate number, VIN / body number / frame number, odometer, and color theme;
  • journal records: fuel, maintenance, repairs, expenses, spare parts, notes, and reminders;
  • financial values: costs, fuel prices, selected currency, and unit preferences;
  • vehicle photos and photos attached to journal records;
  • app settings: language, theme, active vehicle, display preferences, and sync status;
  • the selected Google Account email address, if you enable Google Sync, so the app can show the account and backup status.

Where data is stored

By default, data is stored in the app's local database and private app storage on your device. User-selected photos are processed for display and stored in private app storage.

When you use export features, the app may create a ZIP / CSV file at your request. You control where that exported file is saved or shared.

Google Drive / Google Sheets backup

Google Sync is optional. If you connect a Google Account, the app requests the limited Google Drive scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. This scope allows VeniCar to create and modify files created or selected by the app.

When sync is enabled, VeniCar may create and update:

  • a Google Sheets spreadsheet containing vehicles, journal records, sync metadata, and photo metadata;
  • a Google Drive folder named VeniCar Photos containing vehicle photos and record attachments.

These files are stored in your Google Drive. The VeniCar developer does not receive a copy of your data, does not have access to your Google Drive, and does not operate a separate sync server. Access to Google APIs is handled on-device through Google's authorization mechanisms.

Use of Google Drive and Google Sheets is also governed by Google's policies, including the Google Privacy Policyopens in a new tab.

Network and third-party services

VeniCar may use an internet connection to:

  • fetch currency exchange rates for displaying amounts in the selected currency;
  • authorize Google access and sync with Google Drive / Google Sheets if you enable that feature.

When fetching exchange rates, the app does not send your car journal, photos, notes, or financial records. As with normal network requests, the third-party service may technically receive an IP address, request time, and standard connection data.

Notifications

The app may show local notifications for date-based or odometer-based reminders. These notifications are created on the device. VeniCar does not use a push notification server.

Data sharing

VeniCar does not sell user data and does not share it with advertising networks.

Data may be processed or shared only in these cases:

  • you export a file or share it through the system share sheet;
  • you enable Google Sync and the app writes a backup to your Google Drive;
  • your device platform or app store services need to process data to complete a feature you requested, such as Google authorization.

Data retention and deletion

  • You can edit and delete vehicles, records, and photos inside the app.
  • Uninstalling the app removes the local database and private app files from that device.
  • If Google Sync was enabled, the Google Drive backup may remain after uninstalling the app or disconnecting Google in the app.
  • To delete the cloud backup completely, delete the VeniCar spreadsheet and the VeniCar Photos folder from your Google Drive.
  • You can contact the developer at [email protected] with privacy or deletion questions.

Children

VeniCar is not directed to children under 13 and is not designed to collect children's data. If you believe that a child has provided personal data through the app, please contact the developer.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when app features or platform requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
