Terms of Service
Purpose of the app
VeniCar helps users keep a personal vehicle journal: vehicles, odometer readings, fuel, maintenance, repairs, expenses, income, notes, photos, reminders, statistics, exports, and backups.
The app is an informational tool. It does not replace professional vehicle inspection, maintenance, legal advice, accounting, or an expert assessment of a vehicle's condition.
Your data
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter into the app.
- Core data is stored locally on your device.
- If you enable Google Sync, a backup is created in your Google Drive.
- You are responsible for exported ZIP, CSV, PDF, and other files after they are created or shared.
Google Drive backup
Google Drive sync is optional. The app requests the limited scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file to create and update VeniCar backup files in your Google Drive.
Do not manually edit VeniCar backup spreadsheets or files in Google Drive if you want backup restore and sync to remain reliable.
Exports, reports, and sharing
VeniCar may create ZIP, CSV, and PDF files at your request. These files may contain personal data, photos, expenses, and vehicle information. Review file contents before sharing them with other people.
PDF reports and statistics are based on the data you entered into the app. The developer does not guarantee that a report proves a vehicle's technical condition or the legal accuracy of ownership history.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app to:
- violate the law or the rights of others;
- upload or distribute harmful, illegal, or unauthorized materials;
- attempt to disrupt the app, Google Drive, Google Sheets, or other services;
- present exported reports as independent inspections or official documents when that is not accurate.
Availability and changes
The app is provided "as is". Some features may depend on your device platform, app store services, Google Drive, Google Sheets, internet access, and your account settings. App features may change, be added, or be removed in updates.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not responsible for indirect losses, data loss, input mistakes, decisions made based on app records, third-party service issues, or consequences of sharing exported files with others.
Privacy
Data handling is described in the VeniCar Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is part of these Terms.
Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when app features or platform requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
